Google Content API – Update products/offers in Google Merchant

Today advertise in Google Merchant is very powerful for sales.

How works Google Merchant Center?

  1. Add products – can add manually or add export file (feed) with products/offers with link to offer on website.
  2. Google will check products, products link on your website. 
This can take a lot of time, because Google will scan products links – and Google can not scan all links in short period.
  3. When products added – enabled in Google merchant – can create Google Ads Campaign.
  4. Some products Google can add to Free listing, and will show for Google user and will be additional free traffic from Google.

Google Feed

Usually better format is XML – can add more data then in CSV format file.

Better add to feed-file – All products.

If products not available for sale – just set availability – as out_of_stock – this will be helpful for fast return products to advertise(enabled products).

If product will not in feed – product will automatically removed from Google merchant – and when will come again, Google will scan again product link.

But when just set availability as in_stock – product will available immediately.

If product/offer have good descriptions, photos – can be set for Free listing.

When add Google feed file to Merchant settings – should set Label – as unique value.
